Founded in 1993, Smith Drilling Systems L.L.C. was established in the United Arab Emirates to offer Directional and Horizontal Drilling Services to Operators throughout the Middle East and Far East Regions.

Smith Drilling Systems provides our clients with a comprehensive package of Directional Drilling and Measurement While Drilling equipment purchased from highly reputable manufacturers.Owning our equipment enables us to maintain control over repair and maintenance and allows us the flexibility for improvement to offer the most up to date and reliable products on the market.
Performance Drilling Motors
Smith Drilling Systems provides a full range of Performance Drilling Motors selected according to project design from Extended Power Section Steerable Motors to Coil Tubing Micro-Slim tools.
Repair and Maintenance
Repair and Maintenance facilities are provided in-house ensuring optimum tool performance. Facilities consist of Hydraulic Break Out Unit, Flow Loop Bench Test and Jar Test Bed, all fully
serviced by manufacturers certified Technicians.
Measurement While Drilling
Smith Drilling Systems offers our clients real time MWD/LWD equipment from leading suppliers renowned for providing highly reliable and functional solutions for all Surveying Operations.
Calibration, function testing, and servicing of all MWD equipment components are carried out by trained Technicians at our UAE located custom built lab facility, allowing strict Quality Control and Traceability.
Survey Services
For intermediate Conductor and Casing Surveys, Whipstock Setting and Final Well Surveys, we offer a full range of Survey Services including Electronic Multishot (EMS), Surface Recording Gyro (SRG), and Single Shot rentals, all of which are calibrated and serviced at our UAE lab facility.
Well Planning
Our complete software package enables us to plan and design single well profiles, multi-well systems, and travelling cylinders.
We provide for all clients a well design package prior to spud, and a post project analysis report upon reaching TD of the well.
Rig Site support
To complement the package, all well reports such as daily drilling reports, daily parameter reports, torque and drag analysis, and daily costs, are computer generated at rig site.
Downhole Tools
Smith Drilling Systems offers a full complement of downhole rotary tools : Stabilisers, Monel Drill Collars, Heavy Weight Drill Collars, Drilling Jars, Shock tools.
